4/5 ⭐️ from me! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this one: equal parts family drama and psychological suspense, this beautiful domestic noir takes us on a tour of what may or may not be the ruins of a marriage and the events leading up to a life changing night for the Connolly’s. Both Caroline and David are written purely and thoroughly with different takes on Zoe, the newly found long lost daughter of David, and her intentions for their family. What this novel lacked in shock and awe it made up for in insight and tension. I plan on picking up more Karen Perry novels soon!
My Rating: 4/5 – Where are all my Nicholas Sparks fans at? If that was you at one time but thought that a new Sparks-ish romance could no longer pull at your heart strings or keep you on your toes then this book is for you! A great story of the instinct to survive, but so much more than that. This book will give you all the feels and maybe even leave you with some survival skills that will save your life one day – who knows! I am very much looking forward to the movie adaption of this book, but I’m so glad I read the novel first. Continue reading Review: The Mountain Between Us
My Rating: 4/5 – I was on the edge of my seat, and finished this book the day I started it. I could not put it down! This book was full of suspense and pulled at my most vulnerable heartstrings as a mother. I’d recommend reading it, just consider yourself warned – once you start you may find yourself cancelling the rest of your plans until you’ve finished it! Continue reading Review: Here and Gone
